Today turned into one of those days when the schedule seemed determined to stay one step ahead of me. Tight assignments and delayed breaks meant I exceeded my first 4.5-hour driving period by ten minutes before finally stopping where I had dropped off my group at Kongsberg Technology Park.
There was not much around that immediately caught my attention. Still, experience has taught me that a photograph does not always have to be found in a grand scene. Sometimes it is hidden in a small detail.
A sculpture near the parking area drew my eye. Photographing the entire structure did not seem particularly interesting, but the flowing shapes within it did. Seen up close, the glass forms became almost abstract — like waves moving through still air.
What began as an unplanned stop became a brief opportunity to slow down and look more carefully. Days on the road often work that way.
