151 Footpath

This footpath leads to an attractive bridge [see photo 128] going over a small stream. This is a tributary of the nearby River Great Ouse which at this point is about 80 miles to the sea. The river has already passed through Bedford and passes thro' St.Neots, Huntingdon, St.Ives and Wisbech before reaching the sea at the extensive inlet of the "Wash". Surrounding this path is the remanants of the OSIER BEDS, on often flooded ground, which supported a flourishing basket-making industry prior to WW2.
Looks like a very nice place for a walk... lovely green grass and trees.
