Clock Tower Bell by oldjosh

Clock Tower Bell

On my way to visit my sister-in-law and family I had to change trains in Darlington.
The notice by the bell informs us that:-
This bell was originally hung in the clock tower over the Victoria Road entrance to the station. It was cast in 1886, but has been out of use for many years. In Sept.1983 it was recovered and erected on its present site by the generosity of the following companies:-
Messrs. A. Monk of Normanby
Messrs. T Burridge of Stockton
B.R. Engineering Ltd of Shildon
