This afternoon I went to have a walk round Ironmongers Pond, after days of rain I had expected a rise in the water level of the Trent but not as much as it has, there are now only two steps of the embankment visible, the boat was moving very slowly up the river; Ironmongers pond is overflowing and the bridge is practically submerged.
