Netherfield The Ceylon Tea House by oldjosh

Netherfield The Ceylon Tea House

While looking for somewhere on a map I had noticed a local nature reserve at Netherfield so today I thought I would visit it. After getting off the bus in Netherfield to head for the nature reserve I noticed this interesting building with a bell tower down a side street. I wonder it the circle underneath the bell once housed a clock
Now found out that this is the Ceylon Tea House, a shop owned by an importer of tea. The bell in the tower was rung at the same time as the hooter of the nearby Bourne's cotton spinning factory
What a great collection you have, wouldn't it be interesting to know the history behind them all.

@jokristina Thank you Jo, I have added the little information I have found about this one. It is interesting to find out about them but not always possible to do so.
