And so it begins...

After years of being on our "to do" list, the inside of the house is getting a make-over. First project up- a new floor around the hearth. Jeff & I spent the better part of the morning designing the layout of the tiles. Now we're both happy and he'll begin the task of ripping up the carpet and laying down the tiles. Although I love the thought of the finished product, I am not looking forward to the topsy-turvy condition my house will be in for awhile. It's another character building lesson God has placed on my path. I'm thankful I have such a talented husband to help get the job done. Next up- a wood floor to finish the foundation (you can see a sample plank in the picture, but it's not stained) and a new coat of paint on the walls. Pictures to follow...of course!

Thanks Mimo and Wendy. Progress report 1: the floor is up in front of the hearth and by the front door. I am told that the cement board will be laid tomorrow and it will be tiled on Tuesday. Hmmm...faith is being sure of what we hope for and convinced of what we do not see...yes, but the proof will be in the pictures!
