@kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi. I was looking for something slightly less than typical. @lisjam1 Thanks Lisa! It's basically sooc- some fine tuning to retain the color when transferring from computer to processing to 365, that's all. @eudora Thanks Diane! @bruni Thanks Bruni! @crickle1969 Thanks Chrystal! @sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry- yes, and we use real butter- no margarine! @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen- I've always called this Bread and Butter, but I don't know if it has another name. Peaches and Cream sounds good to me. @karenann Thanks Karenann! @beachradish Thanks Beachradish! @anazad511 Thanks so much Ana! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @amyhughes Thanks Amy! Had to be patient with this one. The little p & s macro setting sometimes gets confused as to what it should be focusing on when there are lots of little things to choose from! The kernels were really throwing it off at first! @dmariewms Feel free to dig in Marie! @adobewaters Thank you so much Adobe! I enjoy your enthusiastic reviews! @summerfield Thanks Vikki. No, no noise added. This one is basically sooc. I do find that what is 100% sharp in the camera sometimes loses its edge when I upload to the computer, so I sharpen it in Picmonkey or iPiccy (whichever I'm using) just slightly to restore the clean edges. I also find that the color loses some umph when I put the shot onto 365, so I usually bump up the hue and saturation just a notch too. But in both cases it's just a slight refinement to make the shot as I saw it. I'm not sure which stage adds the "noise"- maybe the sharpening does it. @twinsplusone Thanks Sharon! It's felt like summer here too!
@olivetreeann We actually have a Time Share up at Quail Hollow, in Drums. How close are you to that area? The unfortunate thing about that time share is that it's a bad week, and we have barely used it.
@olivetreeann - must've been from the sharpening. it's beautiful though, and i think it's what made the texture pearly-like. a lot of people, i've read around here and on the discussions board, that the colours of their photos change, sometimes quite significantly, when they upload on 365. i don't have that problem. yet. :-)
@salza Thank you Sally! Thank you so much!! @vickisfotos Thank you Vicki! @boogie Thank you Mags! @ellimae Thank you Ellen! Thank you very much!! @alia_801 Thanks Alia! I know- your little buddies bring some interesting challenges to picture taking! @sabine Thank you Sabine! @sangwann Thanks Dione. I wanted to do something that was close to the kernels, but a little unexpected. This angle seemed to do that for me. @cimes1 Thanks Carole! @summerfield Thanks Vikki. I haven't had as bad of a problem as some of the folks do, but I see just a slight enough difference that I like to restore it.
Thanks to everyone. I think the sheen that some of you are reacting to was caused by the location of my corn when I shot it (which is why I chose to take it there too!). It was in my stainless steel sink just after shucking. It's a good example of how your surroundings affect the light in your photo. Up on the counter it would not have gotten that metallic glow. I love using my sink as a "light box" and have used it a couple times for various objects.
@vickisfotos The "thing" with the sink is that it mutes the natural light- softens it, so keep your eyes open for that kind of effect. Now, if I have the kitchen light on, it sharpens that kind of light. It's fun to see the different ways light works- both natural and incandescent.
