My third endeavor with my selective coloring "recipe". I wanted to cover a larger subject this week, so I pulled out my red shoes. I did convert this shot to black and white before I brought the red back in but the light blue rug doesn't really stand out against the shoes. I still like the shot, but the contrast is not as noticeable in this shot as it is in the others.
I have never risked red shoes either! I do not like drawing attention to my feet. Not sure why....they are not big or anything. I did love Dorothy's ruby red shoes. But I do have that purple parka!
@espyetta lol MaryBeth- I don't have a purple parka, but I do have the red shoes! Bought them to wear to a summer wedding many years ago (red shoes, white blouse and blue skirt with little white polka dots). @digitalrn Oh Rick I think you could pull it off with the right shoes!
your shoes are so dainty, size 5 maybe? i do see the blue of the carpet. i do have a pair of red high heels which i wore to a wedding in the mid 1990's. the second time i wore it was seven years ago at our christmas party and i was promptly called 'dorothy'. haha!
@summerfield lol Vikki!! I have never been a size 5! And dainty, no- those are not the genes I inherited! It's just the shot. These are a healthy size 8. I am not the most graceful person in the world and have even less balance than grace so, it's either flats or low heels; these falling into the latter category. And to make life even better, they are a wedge heel!
Great composition, lovely bright colour. I am not a fan of brightly coloured shoes (or of shoes in general really!) but some people just have the gift of being able to wear bright coloured shoes!
