Little Piggy helped me decorate the table for our womens' fellowship meeting tonight. She fits right in with her little polka-dot tube, don't you think?
@glendq Thanks Glendq! @filsie65 Thanks Phil! @gphelps5 Thanks Graham! We almost called for reinforcements from the bots and little people, but there was a candle involved... @sangwann Thank you Dione! @jackie8 Thank you Jackie! I have plans to do that poem some day- maybe in the winter when I need something fun to shoot. I'll have to remember to make roast beef that week! @alia_801 Thanks Alia! She always brightens a shot! @maggiemae Thanks Maggie! Yes, I'll probably do that little poem sometime this winter! @digitalrn Thanks Rick! @allie912 Thanks Allison! @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole!
@netkonnexion Thanks Damon! Actually thanks on 2 accounts- one for this nice comment, but secondly for the great articles you've been posting. My ONS2 shot today was a b/w with natural lighting and I was really paying attention to how the light played on the apple and background. I've become even more aware of these things thanks to your articles!
@prttblues Thanks Bev! LP thanks you too! @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! And thanks from LP too! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! And LP thanks you too! @henrir Thank you Henri! And thanks from LP too!
@httpgeffed Little Piggy and I are hoping your back will heal quickly. Mine has been giving me some trouble too- but I think it's due more to what's going on with my hips and knees.
ann, i like the way you processed this - it looks like one from an old magazine, one of those glossies yellowed with time. and of course, little piggy fits right in there. awesome!
@summerfield Thank you Vikki- played around in BeFunky for this one. @bkbinthecity Thanks Brian!
I did get some funny reactions from the ladies who saw me take her out of my purse with my camera and then take pictures of her on the table!
@pandorasecho She is a little cutie pie! When I saw her in the Children's store in Arlington my first thought went to Kerri Stephen's Rastafarian Duckie. My second thought was, "I have to get that Piggy for 365!"
@summerfield@alia_801 I don't have anything set in stone but I'm leaning towards something where there's a list but the items are not assigned to a specific date, so that people can do them in the order they want to. I have some suggestions saved from a couple months ago that I was going to work into that list (a candid, random shot in a store; a candid or random shot taken from the hip; what's in your closet?; what's on your shelf?; what's in your frig?; what's in the trunk of your car?; what's under your bed?; and some of those artsy things where you mix water and oil or whatever- but I think I'd make that an alternate, because I haven't been able to get those kinds of shots with my camera so far). If that's sounds interesting, I'll make it more substantial- or as always, if you've got an idea we can blend them together. It was fun in September (?) when we all took a week and we could do that again too, but still give them a choice in what day they shoot whatever we come up with. I know it's two weeks away, but I'm barely into October yet, so November seems to be far, far away!
@olivetreeann - september was too much fun, i almost did it instead of the either-or (almost, not quite), that's why i continued the tuesday and wednesday on my main album.
i have an idea and i don't know if it's stale now or maybe i'm grabbing someone's idea unknowingly. how about a fill-in-the blank challenge whereby we are given a title of something with one word blank. for example: "one flew over the cuckoo's _____" and we take a picture of an actual nest or a family home to interpret the missing word.
there are five weeks in november - the 1st is on a thursday so that week will have 4 days, 1-4 and the last week has 5 days, then the 3 full weeks in between. i was thinking a theme every week, first week song title, second week book title, third week movie title, fourth and fifth weeks maybe game title and/or short riddles or adages. i profess to be no good with games aside from super mario and donkey-kong or pac-man. hahahaha! maybe alia is more familiar or we can ask someone we know is good with games - we don't get to see the boys anymore so i would have no clue on games.
but what do you, ladies, think? possibility? maybe? no? think some more?
@summerfield Jeff Walker did a movie month in July. He gave folks a list of about 40 of them and gave us the option to do as many as we'd like and in whatever order we chose. There was a wide variety of movies and you didn't necessarily have had seen them to do a shot because you had the freedom to do them whatever way you wanted. I know for me personally, I don't really like doing titles, but I did do 10 of the movies in July for fun. I don't know if I could do a month of them! (o: But that's just me- and there's nothing that says we all have to do the same challenge every month! I've been in a mood lately wanting to shoot whatever comes my way and sometimes I feel the challenges are actually limiting me. On the other hand, if they're generic enough, I can sometimes bring the two together. That's just where I am right now- but I think there would be a number of people who would enjoy this challenge, so maybe you should go ahead and post it if Alia's interested in it. I was even thinking if there was a November word list I'd do that. But I haven't really made up my mind on anything because November just doesn't seem all that close right now! lol But we know how time flies!!

Thank you Kimmi! (lol I bought this while visiting Boston because it reminded me of your Rastafarian Duckie!)
