Personally it's neither for me- I like creamy things, but I do have one salad dressing I make that was my mom's recipe and it's based on oil and vinegar.
I hope Piggie doesn't think we can't see him! Nice one, Ann. . .I had no idea how difficult it would be to keep up with one of these month-long challenges. My respect and admiration for all of you who do them month after month grows more and more!
@edie Thanks Edie! @lyno Thanks Lyn- I'd promised Dixie I'd do a same subject Tuesday for part of her challenge this month and I almost forgot to include Little Piggy today! She looks kind of cute back there, doesn't she? @summerfield Thanks Vikki! lol I almost forgot to include her today!
@httpgeffed Thanks Colleen- sure! Nancy's Salad Dressing: 1 c. oil (Mom-Nancy- used vegetable oil, I use Canola, I haven't tried EVOO yet); 1 T. sugar (it does not work well with artificial or substitute sugars- it's one of the few things I still use cane sugar in); 1 t. salt; 1/2 t. pepper; 1/2 t. paprika; 1 segment/clove garlic- drop into dressing whole; 3 T. cider vinegar (Dad tried using Balsamic vinegar one time- totally changes the taste! I don't like it that way, but you can experiment); 1 T. water. Always make 1 day before you use it. Put everything in a tightly sealed container, shake and let sit overnight. Shake well before using.
I don't know where my mom got this recipe, but it's been with me my whole life! It was one of the few things both my sons insisted their wives learn how to make! I always have a jar of it in my frig. Enjoy!
Thank you Phil, Damon, Alia, Dione, Rick, e.gad, Mags and Ana! Glad you like the shot. It was a fun one to set up (almost forgot to add Little Piggy in today so her "photo-bombing" was a last minute addition!). And for those of you who are trying Mom's (Nancy) salad dressing recipe- Enjoy! (You might like this one Rick- it is not vinegary at all)
@kandernob Thanks Karen! I promised another photographer to continue the same subject from last month's challenge when she decided to continue it this month- hence the "pink visitor's" presence in this shot! @cimes1 Thanks Carole! @henrir Thanks Henri!
