Russet by olivetreeann

Russet

Actually it's a Yellow potato and not a Russet, but thanks to a little processing in sepia and the "Moroccan" effect from Ribbet applied for good measure, the picture has some nice russet colored tones on it now.
Meg

Thank you Meg, Ana, Sally, Kerri, Gerry, Phil, Laraine, Bruni and Damon! I think I started out with some nice lighting on this one which brought out the detail on the potato. The processing really helped the color. I like sweet potatoes too Bruni!

April 25th, 2013
you know, aside from the colour of the red tomato and the brown tomato, i wouldn't know what is russet. don't all brown skinned potatoes look the same? :-) lovely processing yet again. nice!
April 25th, 2013
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! I don't think so- there is a definite difference in skin tone between a yellow potato, red potato and an Idaho potato. There are also white potatoes and of course russet potatoes. But it's been a while since I've actually compared them!
April 25th, 2013
@olivetreeann - hahaha! you know i was goofing off at work because in my haste, i wrote "tomato" instead of "potato" and that is singular potato without an "e" at the end (shades of dan quayle hehehe!).
April 26th, 2013
@summerfield You say tomato, I say potato, you say- oh I'm getting the words mixed up now! Let's call the whole thing off.
April 26th, 2013
@olivetreeann - aha! just as i thought you'd say! hahahaha!

Bev
Nice shot! It's amazing how good you are with the editing sites! It doesn't look processed at all. Great job, Ann! :)
April 27th, 2013
@prttblues Thanks Bev! I don't know about good- but I think all my experimenting has helped me to remember which site can do what and which picture it would work best for.
