I spent a good portion of today running errands, constantly keeping my eyes open for something pink but in the end, I decided to set up a shot at home. I've also been thinking all day about the Label 4 April challenge to imitate one of your 365 favs. After spending about 30 minutes thumbing through my 1336 favs, I have decided that I can't replicate any of them! How could I pull off a Peter Degraaff shot? A Michael Elliot? A Jason Daniels, Tanja Carda or Jeff Walker? I have no idea how Bev does her light photos. I don't have vintage paper and books like Pinar has or have the ability to take bird shots like Alia, Cissy B or Kerri Stephens. I'm not into bugs but the insect pictures of MaryBeth and Chris always amaze me (even the spiders!). I can't travel the world like Ana does, but thanks to her pictures and those of Ruth M., Phil, Paula, Sally, Howard, Jennifer, Dave, Damon, Dione, Andy, Nicole, Laura, Simmy, Cheesebiscuit, Vesna and many many more, I have traveled the world over and over again on 365.
Not only have I had the windows of the world opened to me, I have also walked across my own beautiful country thanks to Carla, Dixie, Karenann, Rick, Kathryn, Carole, Janice, Lisa, Taffy, Henri, Laraine, Nada, Diane, Lisa(Bell), Denise, Terry, Tara, Marie, Allison and Ellen. I've got some great neighbors to the north who've introduced me to their hometowns and beyond- Brian, Bruni, Vikki and Julie. And when I've needed a happy dose of humor, I can always count on Colleen and Graham to take a quirky shot that makes me laugh all day. I can't seem to narrow down a fav I could even come close to replicating!
But I can tell you about a few photographers who've had an impact on how I take pictures. I was inspired to explore post-processing and editing by Chrystal. I liked the different effects she would apply on the WWYD challenges and thought I'd try some them out. Well, you know what that led to! Boys playing in the clouds, artist challenges, pictures with effects that make them look like paintings and all sorts of things in between. And where would the world be without frogmato and pigmato shots?
I've always loved the high-key, over-exposed shots of Beachradish, as well as Edie's unique version of that style too. I'd never purposely done that to a photo before. Now I love it when a subject sort of lends itself to that effect. Thus my shot for today mimics their method (although it doesn't hold a candle to their results!). But lastly, there is one photographer, who I miss dearly on this site, that perhaps made the biggest impact on me as a photographer. Bonnie Lusted was one of my earlier followers. When I saw her pictures, I wondered why she'd picked me to follow! Bonnie had an amazing eye. She could make anything look amazing- whether it was an onion peel, an old clothespin or a weathered door, she saw beauty where others would walk by. The close-ups I do now, are a result of her encouragement and example.
So rather than produce an epic fail of some great photo of the aforementioned talent, I shall instead record an epic memorial of praise to them. My apologies if I missed any of my faithful friends here- with 200 followees- my brain is a bit overwhelmed!!

Thank you each and every one of you! From my heart to yours!
@pandorasecho I KNEW I was missing someone on my walk across America last night!! I am going to fix that!
and bonnie's album can be viewed here: http://365project.org/kloud/365
@summerfield Thank you Vikki- my faithful challenge buddy along with Alia! I must be honest though- these are costume jewelry- which is just fine for me!
@prttblues Thank you Bev! My sister is once again in radio silence but not because she's angry or anything. I think she just gets focused on her own life and forgets. At the moment, I'm thinking that I will just pick a time, tell them I'm coming and go for it- at least to get some of the things I'd like for remembrance. I'll talk it over with my other sister because we might have to all be there so everyone is happy- but whatever. Don't worry when I come, you will know ahead of time so we can plan an adventure!
Thank you Vikki, Pam, Henri and Dixie for your fav's. You're so sweet!!
@summerfield I'm sure an expert can tell the difference- but with this kind you don't have to worry and the average person has no clue if they're the real thing or not.
@edie Thank you Edie and thank you so much for the fav!! I really love your style!
@pflaume Thank you Lisa!
