Although the cold and gray days have a way of making winter seem dreary and dull, every once in a while, there's a pop of color that really catches your eye. Make sure you have your camera ready!
@digitalrn Thanks Rick! I knew there'd be some pretty frost so I grabbed my camera and stepped outside. After about 3 shots I realized it was COLD and I had no coat on. Boy oh boy- 365 really gets you focused- and not always in a good way! hehe
Well captured Ann, I like the pop of red with the delicate frosted edging (sorry I haven't caught up on your photos, I will do so either tonight or over the weekend)

@bruni Thank you Bruni! Yes, there are still a few leaves left on the oaks. Some will actually hold on to them until the Spring. But every once in a while a windy day knocks one off and it becomes a photo opp for me. Thanks so much for the fav!!
@olivetreeann - that is so sweet of you to say Ann. She is doing okay at the moment but I think that is mainly because the girls are on school holidays for the summer. They go back on 29 January. I think a lot of her issues last year were caused by her teacher and I can't tell you how glad I am she will have someone different this year. Every day is a challenge, as you know having kids yourself, but I hope the things we tell her will sink in one day.

I don't know if you've had this happen, but when I looked out my back window and saw the light frost, I just had this feeling a special picture was waiting out there- so pjs and all, I grabbed my camera and went in search of it. I found it just in time because it was COLD!! and I hadn't put a coat on!
