One Night Stand- Street Photography

I have come to the conclusion that a street in a residential area of the Poconos is not all that conducive to street photography!
yup - there are times when street photography is just about the street :)

@northy LOL I almost did that- just take a picture of the street! But then I heard a car coming...
April 20th, 2014
I tend to agree with you both. Nice capture.

Awesome shot
April 20th, 2014
I like this. There's such beauty in the everyday. Great stuff.
April 20th, 2014
Awesome! I large with Jenn.you have caught the beauty of a moment on your street.
April 20th, 2014
it's a street, there's a car. it's street shot!
April 20th, 2014
I can't see any houses - just a lot of tall trees which is pretty nice for a street!

@smithak Thank you Smitha!
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
@jennwithtwons Thank you Jenn!
@mzzhope Thank you Hope!
@summerfield Thank you Vikki- lol you almost got a shot of the street!
@maggiemae Thank you Maggie- it's all in the way the camera is pointed. My house is to my left, a neighbor's house is right next to that and then two more after his; http://365project.org/olivetreeann/365/2012-06-05

another neighbor is to our left http://365project.org/olivetreeann/365/2012-03-03

and one is across the street but I don't have a picture of it.

HAH...funny! yep, mine would not be a good street to shoot either...no action at all...except for birds
April 20th, 2014
Well it is a street, so why shouldn't it be classed as a street capture? I had this discussion with my husband whilst I was trying to get my street capture. His question was "why do you need to have people in the shot?" We came to the conclusion that a street devoid of any activity would still be 'a street photo'!

It's a very nice street!!
April 20th, 2014
Great shot Ann
April 20th, 2014
Cool shot of the street though - lots of textures!
April 20th, 2014
The bright side is, I don't see snow
April 20th, 2014
Haha, love the quite literal take of street photography here! Love the lighting and the textures in this are lovely! :)

April 20th, 2014
Looks great.
April 20th, 2014
@vickisfotos Thank you Vicki! Sometimes there are people walking dogs, kids playing, teens on ATV's (that really aren't supposed to be riding on our streets) and cars- but not on this day when I need something like that to make the shot interesting! LOL
@salza Thanks Sally! I guess if you want to be literal about it, then a picture of a street is truly an example of street photography. hehehe
@windridge Thank you Susan!
@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! Not as great as a street shot in London!
@alia_801 Thanks Alia!
