I noticed the moon on the way home today and was hoping I'd make it home in time for a good shot. I wasn't disappointed and wow- having a tripod makes such a huge difference!!
Great shot, Ann. Fav! A tripod definitely makes a difference! Too bad mine is busted. I had to rely on my car the other day. It's funny how your moon is sideways while mine the other day was upside down. I wonder if the time of day or location has something to do with it. This is absolutely stunning. I still want a camera like yours! I need a sport setting for shots I want to get.
SOOO well done to get the craters. Apparently you can do better to show off the craters when it isn't a full moon as the shadows are sharper. Really well done.
@kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @prttblues Thank you Bev! And thanks for the fav! I have a tri-pod for you. I just have to connect with my friend Narlene. She has 2 extras she wanted to find good homes for and I told her about you- so sometime in the next month or so, I should have it and will send it up. As for the camera, I do think yours does a decent job too. You'll probably get something this clear with the tripod. So hang in there! @eudora Thank you Diane and thank you so much for the fav! @pandorasecho Thank you Dixie! And thank you for the fav! @taffy Thank you Taffy! @salza Thank you Sally! And thank you for the fav too! @ceilidh Thank you Margaret! I have always wanted to take this kind of shot, but when I started the 365 Project I only had a very small point and shoot camera, so it was not possible at all! So it was a great thrill to finally upgrade this year and get a camera that could fulfill the dream! The tripod is icing on the cake. @nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! The good thing about the phases of the moon is that you get to see them all every month! @radiogirl Thank you Islandgirl and thank you so much for the fav! @altadc Thank you Alta! @bruni Thank you Bruni and thank you for the fav! @nicoleterheide Thank you Nicole! @rubicon Thank you Lynn! And thank you so much for the fav ! @sarah19 Thank you Sarah! The sight had me thinking of a favorite psalm- #8 "When I consider Thy heavens, the works of Thy fingers; the moon and the stars which Thou hast made; what is man that Thou art mindful of him, and the son of man that Thou dost care for him?" @daisymiller Thank you Daisy! And thank you so much for the fav!
@anazad511 Thank you Ana! LOL you caught me- I will have to fix that! I think I was thinking about two things at the same time and combined the dates!!
@olivetreeann Thanks, Ann. My shots are okay but anything with motion and they blur. I don't have a sport setting. I have tried other peoples suggestions but I can't do it. Oh well. but thanks for find a tripod. Does it come with a carrying bag? I can't seem to find the one that goes with my busted one. It got lost in the move.
@prttblues I'm not sure if it has a carrying case Bev. What I do know is that Narlene has good taste when it comes to equipment and it's probably a good one- comparable to what I just bought. I will see if I can connect with her after the holidays. @lsanderson55 Thank you Leigh Anne! (I have a granddaughter who spells her name Leigh too!) @jocee Thank you Joce and thank you so much for the fav!
@joansmor Thank you Joan! I didn't have to deal with the cold too much since I took this before the sun set, but I don't blame you for wanting to stay inside! @alia_801 Thank you Alia! It seems that taking the moon in the late afternoon or in part is better for capturing those details. I'll have to remember that for next month and get some more!
