Stairs

I met up with some friends for lunch today and afterwards took some time to photograph things around the church. One of the Scavenger Hunt items is "Architecture", specifically photographing a building or something to do with a building. While the original scene was bathed in red light (sun streaming through a stained-glass window), I decided to give it a black and white treatment to bring out the texture in the woodwork. I rather like the outcome!
This is so very nice! Love the detail that the processing brings out!

I like it too. After February, I find myself looking at things or pictures and thinking "this should be b&w"

Great choice for B&W Ann. It's amazing how some shots are much better in black and white. It shows up the detail so much better. I should have done that B&W month!

@tabarlett Thank you Tammy!
@aikimomm thanks Phoebe!
@summerfield Thanks Vikki! the color version looks pretty good too- but I find myself being drawn to black and white lately!
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie- it's a beautiful staircase- actually three stories high- this is where the third story starts.
@kerristephens thanks Kerri!
@mzbull thanks MZ!
@salza Thanks Sally!
@thresheg Thanks Graham!
@eudora thank you Diane and thanks so much for the fav!
@francoise thanks Francoise- me too! I am finding myself drawn to it more and more.
@thistle thanks Joyce- you can do a month of black and white anytime as you can call up the weekly discussion posts and read them at your leisure under the "discuss" pull down menu. That method also gives you the option to do a week at a time whenever you feel like it.

I have a busy day ahead and company coming tonight- but tomorrow, I'm getting caught up with 365!!
