Do I love taking moon shots? Yes, I do! I was about to take a picture last night with the usual settings, when in the back of my mind I remembered one tutorial that had suggested playing with the AWB by setting it to tungsten or fluorescent light when taking shots of the moon. So I decided to give it a go! Personally, the fluorescent light didn't really come out looking much different than a black and white shot. But the tungsten, as you can see, turned the moon blue!
Last night of April- what a great way to finish the month with a Blue Moon!
@homeschoolmom Thank you Lisa! We've got some fluffy white ones today, but I think the full moon will be quite visible in spite of them. @rangerxenos Thank you Dawn! @mzbull Thank you Mz! @aikimomm Thank you Phoebe! It's the camera and tripod combo that allows me all the time in the world to get the zoom this close and then everything in focus. @tabarlett Thank you Tammy! @taffy Thank you Taffy! I think the tungsten lighting helped to accentuate them. @wenbow Thank you Wendy! @salza Thank you Sally! Me too- I could photograph it again and again and never get tired of looking at it. I'll probably go out and shoot the full moon tonight. @cortens Thank you Julie! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @alia_801 Thanks Alia! And thanks for the reminder! I'll probably be outside tonight capturing the full moon. @nicoleterheide Thank you Nicole! That glow is due to using the tungsten setting instead of the daylight setting. @digitalrn Thank you Rick! @pyrrhula Thank you Pyrrhula!
Thanks again to one and all. I will never get tired of taking moon shots- it was something I dreamed of for so long!!
As it was very close to being a second full Moon in Apri, it was almost a technical blue Moon too.
