Yellow Shoes by olivetreeann

Yellow Shoes

I caught sight of these happy feet at the Farmer's Market on Saturday. And the one who was wearing them was just as cute as her yellow crocs and fluffy skirt indicates.
Love this high-key effect and that pop of yellow!

@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole!
@bruni Thank you Bruni! I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to capture the calendar view- not going well I'm afraid!!

@olivetreeann I took a picture of mine, but have stripes in it from my computer and putting 30 pictures into a collage will probably not show them to their advantage. so I think I'll skip it unless you come up with a good idea and like to share it. I love your month of yellow.

Love the way you've processed this. FAV

@olivetreeann @bruni I noticed your comments about saving the calendar view ...Just wanted to mention that I do this each month by pressing "Print Screen" on my keyboard, and then pasting ("Control V") into Photoshop or Microsoft Office Word or PowerPoint or whatever program I want to save it in. It's easy to crop and resize it, and nice to have the whole monthly calendar view.

Great capture Ann - and I love your processing.

I just loved this when I was browsing earlier. Have yet to attempt high key, I like the effect it gives.

@bruni @dsp2 Thanks D S- tagged you Bruni so you could read her description. I had gone back in discussion board archives and found a similar instruction to yours D S so I gave it a try and was able to save it in Microsoft Office Word. I then had to put it on a flash drive and transfer it to our home computer where I was able to print it out and then scan it so it would convert to jpg. Then I put it back on the flash drive and put it into the laptop so I could work with it in my photo program! A lot of work, but I wanted to post this oneto sum up the month and it was the only way my limited computer skills could figure out how to get it done! I'm going to take note your method and give it a try at the end of October.

@skstein Thank you Sandy!
@jillhempsall Thank you Jill!
@jennywren Thank you Jen! There are two ways to achieve high-key. You can purposely shoot your picture as over-exposed, or you can manipulate the exposure in post processing. I generally do the latter, but both ways achieve the same end.

@olivetreeann @dsp2 Ann it sounds like you figured it out on your own. DS I tried to follow your way, but couldn't find "Print Screen" on my keyboards. found the Crtl and V, but I guess with the Print screen I don't even know where to start.

@bruni If your keyboard doesn't say "Print Screen," it may be labeled as "PrtSc SysRq." Usually it is located above the Numeric Keypad or the "Insert" and "Delete" buttons.

If not, maybe these instructions will help of you have a Windows-based system: "On some keyboards, PrtScn might appear as PRTSC, PRTSCN, or a similar abbreviation. Certain laptops and other mobile devices that lack a PrtScn key might use other key combinations, such as FN+Insert, to capture the screen... The manual the came with your device should have specific instructions."

I hope that this helps ...I use my Print Screen all the time and can't image having to do without it!

@dsp2 Thank you much for following it up. To be truthful, I never checked looked at the small print on the right hand side of the keyboard. I do have a key for it. now I just have to figure out how to do it. I'm not in photoshop. I use strictly Picasa or Microsoft.
