A Glorious Autumn Day by olivetreeann

A Glorious Autumn Day

Went out for a photo walk on Sunday to try out my new wide-angle lens. I didn't read up on it beforehand so I didn't quite know what it was capable of. I guess the biggest discovery for me was how close you could get to the subject and still fit it all into the frame!
Super composition and colours.

My camera has a built in wide angle - I tend to forget all cameras don't. Lovely colours in this shot!

This is gorgeous. A new lens always takes awhile to get used to and pull out all the best features, nice exploration.

Ann, this is gorgeous. love the sky, the leaves on the ground, the green grass and the tree shadows. Fav.

Just to let you know, I saw the doctor this afternoon. told him what happened to me Saturday morning and again late Sunday evening.. he had no explanation for it, just told me to continue putting pressure on the wound. he gave me a few pads and a role of paper tape and said, when it's completely healed but leaves a little pump, he'll freeze it of for me..

@francoise Thank you Francoise! I was just reading about what causes that and do you think I can remember what I read? It has something to do with the way the light is traveling through the lens and on to the sensor- and it's not really good for the camera, so I tried not to shoot directly into the sun. Anyway, I do like it too!

@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! It didn't start out that way but it ended very nicely.

I like the purple too, but I imagine it must be as bad for the camera as it would be for our eyes.

@pandorasecho Thanks Dixie- yes, so I'd tried not to shoot into the sun too much (but I do like the bokeh and colors that usually produces!).
