We learned of the passing of a very special lady today. We've only known her for a few years, but she had become a big part of our lives. In spite of numerous health battles she never stopped smiling or plugging through those battles with grace and dignity. She jokingly called herself the "Bionic Woman" she'd had so many parts replaced. Every time we saw each other, we were always greeted with a BIG hug even though it hurt her to do so.
Sometimes the journey of life is a glorious adventure. Sometimes it is a test of will. You never know what may lie around the corner but if you don't move forward you will never know what's there. It is also best to not look back with regret, but to remember that both the failures and successes you've had along the way are steps on the path not end points. There is no guarantee that life will go smoothly or end up where you want it to. But it is guaranteed that your journey will some day come to an end. And as many before have said, how you travel along the route makes all the difference in the world on how you will feel when your journey does come to an end.
Joyce traveled her route well and now she is home. I will miss her.
A poignant piece of writing and photograph too. Sorry you have lost her to travel with you but glad you were able to speak so highly of her and with meaning.
Thank you so much for all your kind words and favs. They were very touching and make me feel so glad to be a part of this community. Although we are miles away from one another, I feel as if you are all right beside me!
So sorry for your loss, Ann. If Joyce could read your lovely words and admire the picture you drew, I'm sure she would be very happy. in her
heart she knew what she meant to you. One has to make the best of
everything and not dwell on would coud've been. fav. for your tribute.
what life has in store for us. one of the main things is to stay positive
and don't dwell on what could or should've been.
@salza Thank you Sally and thank you for the fav. Although I didn't know her personally, I think the same could be said about Bonnie. To this day when asked by folks in the camera club who has influenced me, I say her!
@olivetreeann absolutely Ann. I still find myself thinking that I must run an idea through with Bonnie. Some people are never far from our thoughts. I am so happy that Bon meant so much to many who never personally met her.
