a. k. a. 52 week challenge week 43: movement (Although I'd left my ND filter in the car- silly me!- I was able to get some long exposure shots using the principles I'd learned at the workshop a few weeks ago. Finally a silky water shot I'm really happy with!)
Flowing water always tells a story- sometimes about where it's been; sometimes where it's going. Taken at Zimmerman's Grist Mill.
This is a photographic story, and here's a beautiful musical story about a very special river...
@olivetreeann - water is usually moving fast enough that it doesn't take much time to get blur. At least in instances like this. One quarter or a half of a second can produce a nice blur.
The silky water draws one right into this gorgeous picture. love the autumnal colours surrounding it. fav.
Anne, it was wonderful to once again listen to the Vienna Philharmonic. I love the piece the Moldau and I needn't tell you Herbert von Karajan is my favorite conductor. one should really make time to enjoy this kind of music more often. my parent at home in Germany, when they were still alive, played lots of records of the Wiener Philharmoniker.
