I always get a chuckle looking at all the photographers lined up to photograph the owlets. I also wonder what the owls think about all those people standing there and staring at their nest for hours on end.
Reminds me of all the kit on show when I went to the air show. With my compact I had to give up on taking the airplane shots, but had much more fun with the people.
Thank you to one and all! The owls seemed totally unphased by all this. What you can't see here is that there is a stream between the photographers and the tree with the nest. These folks are high respectful and give them plenty of room so as not to disturb their routine. We were hoping to see one of the parents arrive with food but that was not the case today. The last time we were here, the mother was in the nest and we only saw one of the chicks. So there are plusses and minuses each time. I was tempted to ask one of them if I could just look through his viewfinder. The lens was so long I'm sure the shot put you face to face with the bird!
@golftragic The people who come here are very protective of them actually. But they are funny to watch! Thanks Marnie! @kjarn Thank you Kathy! This would actually be when the King and Queen show off the royal offspring! They are funny to watch. Of course when the owls do something a hundred shutters go off!
