Album Cover Challenge 92

Artist- Yvonne Fletcher

Yvonne Fletcher was a British constable who was fatally wounded while monitoring a demonstration against the Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi on April 17, 1984. During the protest 2 unidentified gunmen opened fire with machine guns, killing Fletcher and wounding eleven others.

The title comes from a quote by Benjamin Tucker (April 17, 1854 to June 22, 1939); journalist, socialist and leading proponent of American Individualist Anarchism in the 19th century.

The quote (which was about taking things by force) was WAY too long to write out here, but this is the last sentence which includes this album's title: The attempt should be made only when the risk of any other course it greater.
Well done.

@grammyn Thanks Katy- that's my granddaughter Leigh and she is an overlay. Let's see...how did I do that? I first worked on the road through the field shot. It was taken a LONG time ago with my first itty bitty point and shoot and taken in sepia. I left it in sepia but added some sort of effect which gave it a black and white vignette. I then added a texture. The next thing I did was to work separately on Leigh's picture. I changed the tone to match the sepia shot without loosing the color of her skin and clothes. Next step- layering Leigh's shot over the road, sizing it so that the horizon didn't cut her face in half, and then I erased the background of her picture so that the road shot came through. Then I faded Leigh's picture so that the rest of the road shot showed in the background. After that I messed around with light, contrast and so on until the two pictures blended together as one. Technically it's a composite but the fading effect makes it look like one shot is superimposed over the other. I don't know if you really wanted to know all that but now you do!!

@olivetreeann actually I really appreciate you taking the time to expllain that so well What programs did you use to do it all?

@randystreat Thank you Kathy!
@grammyn I did everything but the lettering in Smart Photo Editor (in computer). The letters were added in Ribbet (on line). SPE does not have a good selection of text so I never use it for that.
