We visited the historic Castle Inn last Saturday and spent several hours photographing this amazing resort from the Poconos' heyday at the turn of the 20th century. This shot was taken through a window in one of the stairways. The angle, steepness of the stairs and the fact that the window was not level to begin with made it a little tricky to find a way to make the horizon straight!
Thank you to one and all for all the views, comments and favs! The shot was fairly easy to take as I was at the top of a stairway which was basically in line with the top of the window. But the waviness of the glass- which some of you picked up on- and the fact that the window was not necessarily straight/level really made getting the shot straight tricky! I'm glad you liked it though- the framing of that church steeple was too good to pass up!
