@shutterbug49 Upper left corner- a small felt bag holding some hand-crafted marbles I haven't used in my project yer (I think there's a cork underneath it), upper right two boxes of colored pencils, lower right, a deck of cards and of course the button in the lower left. It was once attached to a sweater- which was loved to unraveling so much it barely stayed together. It is now in "sweater heaven" but the button still remains because buttons are fun to photograph.
@kametty This photo was accomplished by using two programs switching back and forth. Befunky (an on-line site) and Smart Photo Editor (in computer). Befunky has a really nice sketch application which in initially converted the photo to. The sketch though is in blue. I then jumped over to SPE and converted to black and white. However this caused some loss of detail. So I went back to the original shot and converted it to black and white, then merged the sketch with the original. I then went back to Befunky to use another application they call "Graphic Novel". It's a grittier black and white style they use in grown-up comic books- high contrast and sharp details. These two steps were like adding layers to a picture. I kept fading them so that the predominant feel remained as the sketch- that's why it has a slight 3D feel to it. After that I did a little adjusting of the sharpness and the contrast before saving it as done.
