Some of the fun and interesting roadside views on our daily trips here and there...
Left to right:
An amazing carving in an old tree that had to be trimmed for one reason or another.
A tribute to the Native Americans who were in the area first- at an ice cream shop of all places!
A giant "duck boot" outside of L. L. Bean's flagship store in Freeport, Maine. I had fun sending this picture to my 4 year old grandson Charlie.
A large bell on display by Pemaquid lighthouse- prehaps the predecessor to the fog horn?
Another grand and honorable tribute to Native Americans in Freeport, Maine.
Piggy taking in Nubble Lighthouse.
And another form of transportation on display near Goat Island, New Castle NH.
I tried to upload pictures last night- twice!- but didn't manage to get the job done, hence this morning's post. Hopefully, I'll catch up with June tonight and be done with all this. Thanks so much for your patience as I've caught up with the month of May!
@joansmor That was the ice cream shop that you wanted to go to but it was closed. You wouldn't believe all the stuff I cloned out of this picture- hoses, buckets, etc. They were obviously getting ready for the season but we were just a few days early.

Thanks to one and all! It was a great trip and I'm sure we barely touched the tip of the iceberg in things to see and do.
@joysabin She did!
