@alia_801 has put together a challenge for October which involves pulling words out of a book and photographing something about that word. My biggest hurdle was deciding on a book! I finally chose The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster. Why? I just wanted to do a children's book and I thought this one would have some fun words to use. The first word I landed on was Ethiopia. This is going to be interesting...
@mrssmith Thanks Carla! I didn't think I'd be able to make to Ethiopia and back today, so I opted to use the map. (o: I think if you go to @alia_801 and review the last week of Sept. pictures, she posts the challenge rules and instructions. I don't think she posted it as a discussion or competition. I think she may have posted on September 30th. @httpgeffed Thanks Colleen. I never saw it as a play, only a children's cartoon. But I must say this is one book that has to be better as a book. I don't think the film version I saw did it justice. @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @cimes1 Thanks Carole.
@mrssmith Carla- see alia's comment above- it has all the info! @rogley8 Thanks Richard. It seemed appropriate to stick it in the first one so that everyone would know which book I was using. @alia_801 Thanks Alia- this is going to be a fun one!
wow. on my fifth day of the book-word-challenge, i also posted a photo of a map. yours has a different perspective though and you got the book in your photo also. i like this.
@summerfield Thank you Summerfield. Since it was the first shot from the first page, I thought it would be a good idea to put the book in it so everyone would know which book I was using. It's been interesting to see how differently everyone is approaching this. I'm staying close to the book, but others have just used it as a point of departure. Thanks for stopping by!

I've made a discussion thread about the challenge now (link here: http://365project.org/discuss/general/8667/book-word-challenge) to make things easier :)
