...that you were being watched? My Hairy Woodpecker had that experience the other day as he was trying to eat lunch. I'm pretty pleased with how the p & s captured him. And yes, it is the male although you can't see his tell-tale red patch.
@bruni Thanks Bruni! You know how much I love Picnik and get so upset when I think about its closing date fast approaching! This is the mirror frame, shrunk to 40 in size, with a brown tint. I then added a border frame in black and removed the inner band so that only the outer one is showing. I liked how it brought out some of the details in the picture. I'll be checking out everyone's pictures as soon as I finish responding to all my comments, so I'm looking forward to seeing your woodpecker. @kerristephens Thanks Kerri! @potsbypam Thanks Pam! @woot Thanks Davide- oh yes, he's definitely looking, but the kitchen light was off so he could only sense something was there. @rhubbard Thanks Richard. I have found with my Canon Powershot A560 that for capturing birds on this feeder, it likes to be set at 400 ISO, macro and on the rapid shot mode. The feeder hangs just outside my kitchen window by the kitchen sink. So I have to somewhat sneak up on the birds with my arm extended and camera in hand. It looks sort of strange, but it works as you can see! @kimmistephens Thanks Kimmi- he's looking in my direction, but he can't see me in detail. @dmariewms Thanks Marie!
@sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry- he's at the bottom half because most of the suet has been eaten- otherwise he's just about the right size when it's full. @digitalrn Thanks Rick- he can't really see me in detail, but he does know "something is there" (cue scary music).
@summerfield Thanks Vikki- well, I have to use it, it's all I have! @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! Wow- I would think there'd be at least one kind- that's so interesting! @alia_801 Thanks Alia- yes- but it was only momentary- they fly away and then fly right back! @cimes1 Thank you Carole- and thank you so much for the fav!!!
@peterdegraaff Thanks Peter- they are so fun to watch and many of them love this "homemade" suet I put in there. It can get rather comical when more than one wants a turn.
@kerristephens Thanks Kerri!
