Bananas by olivetreeann

Bananas

I was definitely in a "play with Picnik" mood today. Although I decided to go with the apple and oranges for the "official" fruit shot, this one came in a very close second. It didn't have much punch in the original format, so the infrared thermal effect saved the day.
Fun effect. Won't we miss Picnki!

@allie912 You said it Allison. I have been checking out other processing sites- nothing compares to the simplicity and that was what I needed! )o:

@olivetreeann So far I like iPiccy best but I'm sticking with Picnik to the bitter end just because of my familiarity with it.

There is no way that I'm going to use Photoshop, Ann. Unless someone who teaches it comes and lives with me for awhile! lol I will look for something very basic like picnik. I have too much on my plate just with the camera.

yesterday, before i saw this pic, i was browsing through the internet trying to find some info on banana (someone was asking me about banana and i wanted to have a definitive info before i give some wisecrack reply) and i saw a photo of a banana similar to this, the banana under an ultra-violet light. and i thought wouldn't it be something if one of my 365 circle of friends did this and i thought of you and sure enough, when i switched to 365 there it was! i must be psychic! or not.

growing up, our backyard was full of banana plants and bats used to habitate them, too, as well as snakes. but gotta love bananas!
