Maple Leaf by olivetreeann

Maple Leaf

I took this shot while on my walk along the Appalachian Trail.
The form of the leaf is so fascinating !

Thanks Maggie! This was a very pretty one- still green but off the tree on to the path!

Beautiful monochrome, makes sure that the leaf is the focal point!

Beautiful capture.

@henrir Thank you Henri!
@salza Thanks Sally! I like to call these SOON- straight out of nature- because I photograph them just as I find them. I don't move a thing- not even a wayward piece of grass or a leaf that covers something up.
@sangwann Thank you Dione!

A perfect leaf....

I practice the SOON concept myself, except I will remove litter, because to me, that doesn't count. I love this photo, really shows the shapes, and color would be a distraction.

The detail is excellent. I like your acronym. Nature is never meant to be played with. Nice shot, Ann!

@mrssmith Thanks Carla!
@dmariewms Thanks Marie! Thankfully I did not have to remove any litter for this shot- but I would have if it had been there. On occasion I will slightly shift whatever I'm shooting if I need to, but in this case, everything stayed exactly where it was.
@kandernob Thanks Karen- that's how I found it.
@prttblues Thank you Bev- I just use that to designate when I have not altered the shot in any way. In other words, this is exactly how I found it on the path.
