Boys and Cows 2

Jeff has been installing a new internet security program tonight, so I'm really late in uploading. Therefore, you get the viewing pleasure of another jaunt with the boys. I'm very excited in that I did put a book together with all the pictures I've done in this series. I can't wait to see it!
Cool

Looks like a gorgeous watercolor ... very beautiful. The book sounds so interesting! I have missed your photo series on these (I think!) Did you send the photos in to one of the sites that makes the books?

@kerristephens Thank you Kerri!
@eudora Thank you Diane! I was thinking tonight I should do something with one of them for their moms for Mother's Day.
@karenann Thanks Karenann! It's sort of a series in that I've done variations of it but they're not posted together. It began with a funny shot in my main album on the week I did the salt and pepper shakers (1/12). But since it looked sort of kooky in space, Jeff suggested I send the boys to some "place on earth". So in my second album they ended up in Greece (1/12). They've also appeared in a snowy woods (1/16) and at the beach (1/20) in my second album. I'll probably post them all over time. I really stumbled on to a cool form of processing some of them. I did the book at Snapfish. They were having a buy one, get two free offer- so it was perfect! One for Sam, one for Isaac and one for Grammy!
@bkbinthecity Thank you Brian!
@anazad511 Thank you Ana! You are thinking too highly of me!!

Which program did you use for your photo book? I usually use Book Smart, also known as Blurb, and have always been pleased with what they do.

I just LOVE these shots Ann. Another great job. Fav.

Lovely effect!

@digitalrn Thanks Rick! To make the pictures I first go to iPiccy and merge the boys into whatever background I've chosen. I save that and then upload the merged picture to BeFunky where I turn it into the "painting". Once I had all the photos done and the story written, I uploaded all the shots to Snapfish and put the book together there. I used them because they were running a special- buy one get two free. Perfect deal in this case since now I can send one to each boy and keep one myself!
@anazad511 (o: Ana!
@jesperani Thanks Jennifer! And thank you so much for the fav! I have to admit, I fall in love with each one! Especially since the models are my grandsons!
@dakotaburns Thanks Donald!

This effect has a Post Impressionist sort of look to it.

Oh how very cool, Ann! I love that you put them with cows... Like they are in Vermont! Just tell them no tipping them over! LOL ... Great effects used. I think it's neat you are putting them in a book. Well done on the photo. :)

@automaticslim Thanks Andy- it's interesting to me that the same effect looked different on several of the pictures. Also on this one I painted some of the orignal shot back in for detail- I don't know if you can see them because they are small. For example the cow's faces were painted back in, but with a "soft brush" so that they didn't stand out. Yes, it sort of looks a little bit like Corot (I think that was his name).
@prttblues Thanks Bev! Well, this shot is not Vermont, it's from Western NY, however, I do have them in two shots from Vermont- one in the mountains by a barn and the other in a mountain field- both taken near Montpelier. I'll probably post them eventually. I can't wait to see the book. It should be here in a week or so.

@vposey Thanks Vickie! Well now that you have a grandson you can!!
January 26th, 2013
love the efect, "befunky'?
January 28th, 2013
@mhatch Thanks Mark- yes, it's either the watercolor effect or underpainting with some of the original picture painted back in on some small patches. I don't think you can see them in the small version, but maybe when enlarged.

This is fabulous, love the bright colours. You have a magic series going on here, excellent idea to create a book

@wenbow Thank you Wendy! The book is now in possession of both Isaac and Sam and according to their folks is a bedtime favorite. That just makes me smile from ear to ear!
