While visiting with Vikki at Niagara Falls and in spite of the drizzly day, we took a walk around some lovely gardens looking for interesting things to shoot. We weren't disappointed- especially by this flowerbed. The Brown-eyed Susans blossoms were quite vivid and so was this little guy. I don't know who was more surprised by the other. He kept twitching his long antennae at my camera and I was amazed by how tiny he was!!
looks like a wee grasshopper! i didn't get around to that part of the flower bed, i think i must've seen something shiny and distracted me! :-) cool macro!
@summerfield Yes- you were over at the red (I think) flowers. I did call to you but then I started taking pics of the little guy and you know how we photographers get caught up in our own little world!
So tomorrow is the photo trip to the waterfall. I've had a big project in the works for church this week and did not have as much time to study "my new camera" as I'd liked to have had. But I am bringing it in hopes that someone will be at least able to direct me for a few shots with the ND filter. I think I can remember enough about the buttons and what they do to adjust whatever settings someone might recommend. Otherwise I'm hitting the auto button and shooting away! Also I found some tutorials on Youtube and next week I'll be watching them and giving myself a daily assignment! Very excited and very nervous- but totally looking forward to the new adventure!
Oh my, glad he didn't jump away! He must have liked you. :) A wonderful shot of this little fellow, and his favorite flower. What's this, you have a new camera? Congratulations! :)!
@summerfield I have decided to dedicate the month of August to learning the new camera and revisiting last year's black and white book club book. Now to download the manual...
@gratefulness Thank you Sandi. I have a "loaner" which I will explain as the month of August begins- stay tuned!
@olivetreeann OK, I can't wait to see August. :) So miss visiting with you lately. Totally my fault, of course. Still saving for my new camera, hopefully soon....
