Talking Turkey by olivetreeann

Talking Turkey

Just missed getting a shot of this flock of turkeys by the bird feeder! So I caught them on the run instead. I felt like having some fun with the processing and thought it would be interesting to emphasize the shape, rather than details.
That is really cool, Ann!! Really like the processing!

Great shot and great processing, Ann. I haven't seen wild turkeys in a long time. I love how you did this.

Were they in the snow? Could be with this treatment! They do have an interesting shape - all body and tiny head!

I like the way the processing picked up the texture in their wings. Very cool!

Love your processing. I imagine they are walking in snow.

this is wonderful. I've been playing with the gimp function called "threshhold" which converts to pure black and white with no shades of grey in between. Results don't always work, but this one does.

Wow! Thanks so much everyone! I just had fun with this one and I'm so glad to see it hit the mark for enjoyment! And an extra dose of thanks to all of you who fav'd it!!

@maggiemae @ubobohobo Yes- they are running through about a foot of snow!

@sue_s How about that!? I'm on a suggestions page!

@francoise I was using the "Adjustable Threshold" effect in Ribbet for this. You are a very smart lady to have figured that out by looking at the picture!
