I am going to miss my "Little Red Ru". He served me well for the eight years I've had him. But his age (17 years old!) and a busted cam-shaft did him in. He is more expensive to fix than he is worth. So after two and a half months of searching (and relying on friends and hubby to help me run errands and such) last Saturday we drove to Rutland Vermont to pick up and bring back home my new-to-me wheels. Goodness! She's a spiffy little thing with her tinted windows, sun roof and super-doper sound system. She even has heated seats! Looks like my "new" Sue-bee Ru and I are going to have lots of fun together.

Don't forget to toast to all four wheels (tires). it's what we always do with a new (or not so new) car. you'll enjoy the heated seats. a great find and a nice picture for also remember your Little Red Ru..
@prttblues I was hoping that I would be able to call you- but plans for the exchange did not come together until 9:30 the night before. By then Jeff was insisting we leave at 8 AM on the dot! Drive up to the Denny's in Rutland, check the car out, eat and high-tail it back home. We'd gotten the insurance taken care of but couldn't register or inspect it until we got back from Vt. So he was concerned with the holiday weekend some policeman might pull us over and wanted to be home before dark. Needless to say, that didn't happen exactly the way we planned but I knew you weren't too far away and it was frustrating not to be able to call you and say, "Hey let's meet for lunch!" @maggiemae Thanks Maggie! I never used to name the cars until I got my first Subaru. Now I'm on number 3 and they've all had names. Go figure!
