Whisper for Me a Moon

Feeling a little poetic about this shot:

Whisper for me a moon
Which dances across dreams
Sails gently through brisk, Autumn skies
And remembers its full-grown glory as it hung above the song of cricket choirs.

Send me echoes of its sculpted image
When it slowly lays down to rest in dusk's fine bed
While giving over its blanket to a canopy of stars
That breathe sparkling light into the chilly night sky.

Such is the way of this opal November moon
Who has captured my gaze and stolen my summer with a tender curve and smile
Only to be stolen herself by the pressing of a shutter with the camera in my hand.
