Taken back in July when we visited the family in Batavia. For a person who likes to photograph peeling paint, rust, and basically anything old and left in a pile somewhere, my son Erick's yard is a treasure trove of photo opps for me!
@maggiemae Thanks Maggie! He's a mason, so a lot of it is stuff which came from a job or will be used on a job. It comes and goes and always looks different.
@fullcircle Thank you Cindy! @thistle Thank you Joyce! @susale Thank you Suse! I feel that way about it too- and I took it! @ninaganci Thank you Nina! And thank you for the fav too!
@jennywren Thank you Jen! @salza Thanks Sally! @wendyfrost Thank you Wendy! @grammyn Thank you Katy! The original scene has very little color and I almost stuck with that, but b & w always does such a great job in bringing out the textures, so that's why I went with it instead.
@summerfield For a rust loving peeling paint adoring photographer- yes! Thanks Vikki! We will be up visiting the family the last weekend of October. Unfortunately we will only be there for 3 days, so there's not enough time to pop out and visit anybody. )o: Sure would love to get together though. It's been too long and I've bought new lenses for the T3i!
@olivetreeann - that's too bad. maybe we'll aim for early spring. i was hoping you'd have a longer stay and i was thinking you could perhaps pop in to toronto for a day or two. time to make use of this apartment. :-) but anyway, next time.
