Geiger's Covered Bridge was located in the Trexler-Lehigh County Game Preserve which meant it was surrounded by protected land. While we were photographing the bridge we noticed a patch of flowers which were still in full bloom and attracting Monarchs. I quickly swapped my wide-angle lens for a zoom and made a bee line for them. Or should I say a butterfly line? I was so excited as I did not have a single butterfly shot from the summer (at least in my memory I didn't!). You may see more of these in the coming months as I was able to get quite a few from all different angles.
@maggiemae Thank you Maggie! With the subject totally isolated and such a shallow dof the background of grass and whatever just naturally blurred. Thank you for the fav and the fav on the bumble bee too!
