A two-fer! ICM background for the One Week Challenge and an album cover for the latest album cover challenge. Whew!
Band: Freak Out- is actually the title of the 1966 debut album of the American Band "Mothers of Invention". Wikipedia called it, "one of rock music's first concept albums... a satirical expression of frontman Frank Zappa's perception of American pop culture." It was poorly received in the U. S. at first but eventually developed a cult following.
Album Title- comes from a quote by James A. Garfield (the 20th president of the United States): Sections and races should be forgotten and partisanship should be unknown. Let our people find a new meaning in the divine oracle which declares, "a little child shall lead them", for our own little children will soon control the destinies of the Republic.
I took a photo of some Christmas garlands today in the craft store intentionally moving the camera in and out as I clicked the shutter. I then overlaid the shot of the flag and it surprisingly changed the color quite dramatically! It's not one of my most creative entries but it will have to do as it's a busy week preparing for our Thanksgiving holiday and photo club activities. I'm going to be tired by the end of it!
Thank you Wendy, Katy, Vikki, Kathy, Haskar, Lynda, Kerri, Henri, CC and Ferry!
@gardenfolk Freak Out the song is different from Freak Out the album. I know the song you're talking about but I don't think that was done by Frank Zappa. For some reason I think it was a band called Les Chic that did it.
