A Whale's Tale by olivetreeann

A Whale's Tale

Believe it or not this started out as just a simple strap leaning on the seat of my car!
It came out terrifically! Such an interesting capture and creation.

Goodness, gracious! I never expected a response like this! Thank you so much for all those favs! I never really know what will happen when I start playing around with a shot. This one sort of "happened" once I applied the mirror effect. It looked so much like those classic whale tail shots, the rest of the processing just fell into place.

@mave Thank you Mave. Yes, I'm pretty sure you could. I use a program called "Smart Photo Editor". It's similar to PS in many ways but not as complicated in others. I actually learned about it from another 365er. I used a second on-line program called iPiccy for the overlay of what looks like waves at the bottom (it's actually ice on the Delaware River!). You can merge two photos in Smart Photo Editor too, but I find iPiccy's version just a little easier to use.

@louannwarren Oh my! That is high praise- thank you so much Lou Ann!

@helenhall Yes, black and white Feb starts tomorrow!
