After the photo club was done I took the scenic route home and passed by this old farmhouse which is in the park service area. I decided this will be the picture I play with this week.
@summerfield You are welcome to it- and I can send you the unedited version as well if you'd like it.
@joansmor Yes, I did take you to this one- it was on the street with the two barns (across from the red one and before the white one- which also had its own farmhouse.)
@grammyn Yes it's empty- now part of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area- and I think it was given to the park by the family who no longer farmed there.
Thank you so much for all your views, comments and favs! Yes, I imagine it was a well-loved and well-lived in for many generations. It doesn't look like it's been empty for a long time but long enough that it's starting to show lack of attention.
@joansmor I thought we parked next to it for a while- but I'd have to go back and look at the pictures I took that day! I was out at the big white barn where we took pictures of the bittersweet today and thought of you. The colors this year are awesome and I wished you could be here to see them. But I know you're getting great colors in Maine too so, at least you're not losing out on photographing them! Thanks for the fav!
@olivetreeann I had plans in my mind to visit some of my favorite places closer to home like acadia - then my dreams got smashed. I have plans in my head now to rent a cottage for a week in Camden with my GF so I can visit all my favorite places. Hope I can do that one next summer. Thinking I am not up any more to the long haul vacations alone. But I told Ashley and I will tell you. I have a spare bedroom just for company (unfortunately it is on the second floor but it comes with a bathroom and a queen bed) It is dying for visitors.
