I got a little bold with a few of the track car folks and asked them if they would pose by their cars. This couple was happy to oblige. They'd started collecting the cars after a friend recommended them. They own two now and this one is the more comfortable of them. They did tell me their names and I should have written it down because I can't remember them now- so I guess they will remain strangers!
@louannwarren Yes- they do. The cars are usually ones that have been retired from active service. But there are some that are also designed for collectors. This couple told me about one man who had a Cadillac Convertible refurbished so that the wheels would ride on the train tracks. So they can get pretty elaborate. This club though preferred the authentic ones and had quite a variety of them too.
