I saw these branches on display in the floral department at the supermarket and immediately thought of the mundane challenge theme- stripes. I have no idea why anyone would want to buy something like this when you can walk into the woods anywhere around here and cut one off for yourself- for free!
I like the lines these branches make. Funny what people will buy rather than use their ingenuity to acquire. Unless maybe they don't have time or access to woods.
Nice subject for the challenge. Around here ( a suburban neighbourhood) people are discouraged from interfering too much with the flora. Picking up a stick from the ground would probably be fine but heading out with a pruning saw to cut down several branches would probably be frowned on. Hard to tell from this shot how big the branches here are too.
You cannot cut trees or branches out of the state land, but many people in this area have land with lots of trees on it. My neighbor just cut down about 15 trees of all sizes on his front lawn- very distressing for me! If he'd just taken out the saplings it wouldn't have been so bad. These are just slightly longer than arms' length. I'll have to pay more attention the next time I'm shopping. I don't think they were store decorations; I'm pretty sure they were for sale.
We have to be careful here about what we cut, pick, remove.
I am so impressed with the way you have incorporated intersecting lines for this photo
