Artist- Cher. She probably needs no explanation and how do you create an album cover for someone who already has them?! But here's a little info anyway- Cher was born on May 20th, 1946. She was dubbed "the Goddess of Pop" when she performed with then husband Sonny Bono. The duo had many hits, but "I Got You Babe" is probably the one they're best known for. Cher has also made a mark in the film industry winning awards both in Hollywood (best actress for Moonstruck) and at Cannes (Mask). She made a notable comeback in the music industry with the song/album Believe but perhaps it could be argued she is equally known for the risque and overly revealing gowns and clothing she performs in.
Title- "My goal in life is to make people think. If I do that I've become a success." Charles A. Reich- legal and social scholar and professor at Yale Law School in the 1970's.
I was playing around with a floral images and landed on this effect which reminded me of tie-dye. And other than stealing pictures of Cher off the internet there was no way I'd get a picture of her. But then I remembered the silhouettes in my photo program and voila! An album cover was born.
So, all in all it's a pretty simple album cover for me, but it fits the bill as far as I'm concerned.
It's not the usual layer upon layer album I usually do, but I think it fits the actual artist- although I'm pretty sure Cher will never ask me to do an album cover for her!
@grammyn Thank you Katy!
@spanishliz Thank you Liz!
