Six or so years ago we had a tree cut down in this location. It was not well and we were afraid it would fall on the house. We put in a raised bed there and tried to grow all kinds of flowers, including daffodils and tulips. But, the weeds were just awful and they wore us out. So last fall I had a rock garden placed there instead. My husband has collected these rocks from all over the country. Nothing was supposed to grow through the rocks. But these determined daffodils and I think tulips just pushed their way through. I have encouraged them by moving a few rocks. Hopefully the weeds will not follow the bulbs up.
