$2.7 Million Dollars - A Bargain!

Last Thursday we were out for lunch at a restaurant on the marina in Nelson Bay with friends.

Through the window of the restaurant we saw this boat, the new owners were sitting near us along with a group of their friends and the chap who sailed the new boat down from the Gold Coast. A couple of hours later as we were leaving the restaurant I got chatting to the skipper who sailed it to Nelson Bay he told me that the couple had just bought it for $2.7 million dollars. I think they must have more money than sense because I really don't think it is worth that amount of money, but what do I know. I can think of better ways to spend that kind of money.

Same here. You must have loads to buy and to keep a yacht like that, especially when most of the time it is moored to a quay in the harbour.

I don't think it was worth that amount of money but I guess it must have had lots of hidden luxuries. It isn't as if it is the largest boat at the marina. Some people have more money than sense.

@sangwann I thought the same as you Dione I am sure it will spend a lot of time moored at the marina and mooring costs at this marina don't come cheap either.

@merrelyn I saw the couple who bought it on the boat and they looked quite ordinary really, you wouldn't expect them to have that kind of money to throw away. As the wife was sitting at the pointy end I suspect she is the one who will be sailing it.

For 2.7 million dollars I would be expecting something closer to private ocean liner size! The cost must be hidden inside somehow. Maybe it can put out wings and fly!
