This morning, I did my grocery shopping quite early before it got too hot and then I had a medical appointment.
After that I called in to see my pal.Kay as she is not too good at the moment. She has inoperable lung cancer and has just been in hospital for a few days with pneumonia. She is home again now but very short of breath. Her daughter Susie is here visiting from Queensland until the end of December, so Kay is able to stay at home at present.
I have not been home long and only just had my lunch so no time for photos today.
Here is another photo taken yesterday at Fingal Bay where we had our U3A Christmas lunch.
After the lunch I wandered down to the beach just to take a photo before we had our coffee at the end of the lunch and then came home.
As you can see it was a beautiful day and the temperature was just right around 26 degrees C. Another beautiful day today too.
I am going to catch up with your photos now while I have a cuppa. Haven't had much time the last couple of days so quite a bit of catching up to do.
A sweet capture of the bay and that stunning blue sky . Sorry to hear yor friend is not in the best of health - so good that you had time to visit her !
Beautiful shot. I love the colours here. The people and their tents make a great addition to your lovely capture. I hope Kay will be ok to enjoy her daughter's presence during the lovely joyful days of Christmas
So sorry about your friend Kay's illness. It's too bad she's not able to sit on this beautiful beach and soak up the warm sunshine. If ever there was a place with healing powers it would have to be the beach.
I'm sorry to hear about your friend's health struggles. While my bout with covid wasn't like cancer, I do understand that way of breathing- gasping for air. I hope having her daughter around helps boost her spirit. We're having our first real cold spell tonight, so I'd really like to be on that beach right now!
Very inviting, especially at this time of year’
My pal Kay is close to the end I suspect. I just hope she can survive until after Christmas. So sad.
