After we had been to Fingal Bay on Sunday we went to Little Beach on our way home to see if we could spot any pelicans. As you can see, we did.
There are often pelicans waiting for offcuts of fish near the fish scaling station but as there were no fishermen at the station this pelican was sitting close to the boat ramp possibly waiting for a boat to come in with take away fish orders on board. ha ha.
Lovely shot. Patience has its rewards and this pelican being alone will get all the spoils if a boat comes in. I like how well it is balanced on the fence,, could be it was a performer at a circus hehe.
@pusspup Shame about the whales. Best to spot them when they are travelling north really as they swim closer to the shore then. On the way home again, they have babies with them and tend to be further out to sea.
Such a fun image of his skills.
