Thank God it's Friday. I have raced round all day and am in desperate need of a cup of tea before dinner!!! Just got home and thought I would download my photo before I collapse!!
Friday is people day and today's photo I took at a retro fair at Kurri Kurri and this chap was there. He had such an interesting face I asked if I could take a photo of him. He was ever so nice. I just loved his dreadlocks.
@joluise No I don't get nervous asking people if I can take their photo. Nobody has said no to me though. I suppose it is all in how you ask them. This chap was really nice. If you take a close look he has really kind eyes and this shows through.
Thanks for the offer of a tea bag from your photo. I caught up with one or ten cups of tea last night though !! I get withdrawal symptoms if I don't get enough tea and the last few days have been very stressful. Having a good day today though.
@dekky740 Thanks Karen. Never judge a book by the cover. This chap was so nice. Pity I didn't get his name I could have sent him a copy of this photo. He had such kind eyes. He was so obliging with the photo too. A lovely chap.
@paulaw I think he was pleased I asked him. I just said how fantastic he looked and could I take his photo and he couldn't really say no to that could he!!! Pity I didn't get his name because I think he would have liked a copy of this photo too. I was pleased with it.
Great capture! Such an interesting fellow. When people are smiling at or with you they are usually more receptive. The only problem is that then what might be a great candid shot becomes a posed shot....but that can be good too. Really great capture Babs!
I admire your confidence. I am aiming to do the same (ask a stranger if I can take their photo). I have seen lots of interesting folk and never had the guts! I love this portrait.
Lovely capture Babs, he has great dreadlocks. I do a 100 strangers project of Flickr and I have had some rejections but on the whole people don't mind.
@ginnykoppenhol Thanks Ginny. Just walk up to them and say something like "you look fantastic can I take your photo" They will either say yes or no. They don't know you so who cares if they don't like you. Usually they are pretty nice though like this chap was. He was lovely. I've never had anyone say No. Give it a go.
@elaine55 Send me the link to Flickr I would love to see that. As you see most people are great. Nobody has ever said no to me so far and this chap was great. I have a thing about dreadlocks at the moment. He looked fantastic.
What a pity I couldn't give you the teabag from my photo today:)) Time to put your feet up I think.
Thanks for the offer of a tea bag from your photo. I caught up with one or ten cups of tea last night though !! I get withdrawal symptoms if I don't get enough tea and the last few days have been very stressful. Having a good day today though.
