Oil and Water by onewing

Oil and Water

Today has been so hot that I decided it was a stay at home and play day. I thought I would have another go at oil and water shots.
I had some black and white striped wrapping paper and thought it may make an interesting shot.

Very intriguing. How did you do this? I'm not really sure what I'm looking at.

Wonderful. It looks brilliant in B&W

@steampowered Thanks Paul. It was b&w. It was black and white striped wrapping paper under a dish of oil and water.

@sunraye Thanks Raye and thanks for the fav. It was a bit too hot to go out and look for a photo today. Not as not as the south of the country though. I think it is heading our way.

@rlaughy Put water and olive oil in the lid of a casserole dish. Balance it on blocks of wood or something similar about 8 inches above the ground or a table and put a piece of black and white striped wrapping paper underneath it. Mount camera on a tripod and there you go. You can use any paper, but I wanted to use b&w for this shot.

Very creative Babs, love it :-)

this is awesome! Love the design feel about it! You could turn this into a new wrapping paper design - or it would look great as a graphic print. Did you use any special lighting for this?

@happypat @eyesmile @angelar @salbelle Thanks so much for your lovely comments. I believe this turned up on the Trending Page briefly, although I didn't see it myself. I think because in Austrtalia we are in front of most countries timewise I was probably in bed when it appeared. @paulaw Thanks for the fav Paula. I bought the striped paper to do a glass and water photo which Nic and I played with a while ago and wondered what else I could use it for. Will have to think of another idea now.
