I wasn't too sure about putting this photo on here today for my people shot as it isn't terribly PC these days, but I have been a bit down in the dumps today and need cheering up.
Besides I figured it was okay to post this as I am in my mid 60's and hardly a threat to anyone!!!
This photo is also for Heather @bugsy as she wanted to know where the bums were in my photo a few days ago at Stockton Carnival. Here they are Heather. Which one is the winner?
This selection of 'bums' was taken at a different surf carnival which Heather and I were both at a while ago.
The favourite for me is Caves Beach!!!
Well this has lightened the air a bit here today and I feel brighter. Hope it gives someone else a smile too.
Yeah...Caves Beach is a winner! For a couple of old ladies we have very good taste!! Glad you posted these. Don't see many men is swimming trunks like this here!!!
Ha ha this really made me laugh, the thought of you on the beach taking these! Not PC at all but if we are forced to choose then definitely Caves Beach ;))) (On reflection is that a man, looks a tad hairless!)
@paulaw There were lots of people around with cameras that day so I wasn't too conspicuous. It was the Masters Surf Lifesaving Club Carnival and even the TV cameras were there. Trust me Paula Caves Beach was definitely a man. ha ha.
@iwatts Come on then Ian, put your money where your mouth is and join the competition!!! I usually do ask permission when I take photos of people, but I must admit in this case they were sneaky pics. As I am not showing their faces though I think I can get away with it. Mind you having said that, if I had gone up to some young chap in Australia on a beach and said "Can I take a picture of your bum because it is gorgeous" I am sure they would have said yes.!!!!
@onewing I just looked for the like button on your comment - I keep getting Facebook and 365 confused. Really, you don't want me to put my money where my mouth is.
@sunraye Thanks Raye. Good it made you smile. I needed a smile today. I don't think the bird in my topic album was smiling today though. http://365project.org/onewing/topics/2014-02-14 He looks how I felt this morning!!!
@angelar Glad it made you smile Angela. I took a few more too, but these were the best of the lot. Don't usually get crowded beaches here unless there is a carnival going on, so there was lots of competition that day.
@888rachel Thanks Rachel. You are absolutely right, the name is what gave me the idea of taking the photo in the first place. Here they all were from each club competing in the races so I thought it might be good to find a personal winner. There were a lot to choose from.
@golftragic Thanks Marnie. I think Caves Beach is definitely the winner. Yes I am feeling better now, just have bad days sometimes. Not a good year last year and it catches up with me every now and then.
@cljs Ha ha. Don't think proper shorts would work here. They are Iron Men after all and the baggy shorts would slow them down in the water. Besides I wouldn't have got this picture would I!!!!
@heidihp Thanks for the fav Heidi. Good it made you smile. I guess Caves Beach is a winner here. Don't know if he was a winner in the surf races though.
@cathy366 Thanks Cathy. Caves Beach definitely wins I reckon. There were a lot of people around with cameras at the surf carnival so I wasn't too conspicuous, plus I did have quite a bit of zoom on some of the shots. Perhaps you could do a similar shot at the waterpolo and we can compare winners. Iron Men vs Waterpolo. How about that?
Oooh, it's Caves Beach for me too!
I think it's bit late to worry about people getting the wrong impression about you Paul! @steampowered Perhaps on the next meetup in Hastings you can model your budgie smugglers for the 365 ladies!
Great shot Babs and it brought a smile to my face too.
@suesmith@steampowered Thanks, so good it made you smile. I needed cheering up too. Here is a photo opportunity Sue, next time you meet up with Paul insist on getting a shot of him in his long johns, that is if he isn't game enough to pose in budgie smugglers!!!
@golftragic Thanks Marnie. I bounce back, just have bad days every now and then. Last year was a very tragic year and even though I am a positive person I still have moments.
Yeah, me too. I was one of the unlucky recipients of Johnson & Johnson's bodgey hip prosthesis that gave me (and 44% of other recipients) cobalt poisoning which meant multiple operations and a whole bunch of other unpleasant stuff. Roll on the class action!
