And the winner is ....... by onewing

And the winner is .......

I wasn't too sure about putting this photo on here today for my people shot as it isn't terribly PC these days, but I have been a bit down in the dumps today and need cheering up.
Besides I figured it was okay to post this as I am in my mid 60's and hardly a threat to anyone!!!

This photo is also for Heather @bugsy as she wanted to know where the bums were in my photo a few days ago at Stockton Carnival. Here they are Heather. Which one is the winner?

This selection of 'bums' was taken at a different surf carnival which Heather and I were both at a while ago.

The favourite for me is Caves Beach!!!

Well this has lightened the air a bit here today and I feel brighter. Hope it gives someone else a smile too.

Today's bird photo http://365project.org/onewing/topics/2014-02-14
Yeah...Caves Beach is a winner! For a couple of old ladies we have very good taste!! Glad you posted these. Don't see many men is swimming trunks like this here!!!
February 14th, 2014
@eyesmile You live in the wrong hemisphere then Gena. They are ten a penny here!!! Caves beach 2, Fingal and Merewether nil!!
February 14th, 2014
Tee hee! I don't think I will be making a choice here... I wouldn't want peeps to get the wrong idea about me!
February 14th, 2014
Budgie smugglers at their finest :-)))
February 14th, 2014
Great picture! All cute bums but I'd give Cave's Beach the thumbs up!! Never to old to look Babs! :))))))
February 14th, 2014
Ha ha this really made me laugh, the thought of you on the beach taking these! Not PC at all but if we are forced to choose then definitely Caves Beach ;))) (On reflection is that a man, looks a tad hairless!)
February 14th, 2014
Great collage of "beach bums"! Good for you! Enjoyed the laugh!
February 14th, 2014
haha, this is super!
February 14th, 2014
I am so offended by this....... not really. Obviously mine would win if it was there. Did you ask permission or did you take sneaky pics.
February 14th, 2014
You have my encouragement to be politically incorrect as often as you like ! Gave me a smile (i'm also mid- 60s).
February 14th, 2014
@steampowered Coward!!! I don't think anyone is going to get the wrong impression of you Paul.
February 14th, 2014
@hermann There were a lot of them about.
February 14th, 2014
@jennyheath Caves Beach seems to be in the lead at the moment.
February 14th, 2014
@paulaw There were lots of people around with cameras that day so I wasn't too conspicuous. It was the Masters Surf Lifesaving Club Carnival and even the TV cameras were there. Trust me Paula Caves Beach was definitely a man. ha ha.
February 14th, 2014
@angelat Thanks Angela. Glad it made you laugh.
February 14th, 2014
Babs you really make me laugh!!!
February 14th, 2014
@iwatts Come on then Ian, put your money where your mouth is and join the competition!!! I usually do ask permission when I take photos of people, but I must admit in this case they were sneaky pics. As I am not showing their faces though I think I can get away with it. Mind you having said that, if I had gone up to some young chap in Australia on a beach and said "Can I take a picture of your bum because it is gorgeous" I am sure they would have said yes.!!!!
February 14th, 2014
@princessm Glad it made you smile Decima. I needed a smile today too, had a bit of a bad day, but cheered up no end now.
February 14th, 2014
@onewing I just looked for the like button on your comment - I keep getting Facebook and 365 confused. Really, you don't want me to put my money where my mouth is.
February 14th, 2014
Nothing wrong with these bums!, made me smile :) so it's a fav!
February 14th, 2014
Love it! Thanks, I certainty appreciate the smile!
February 14th, 2014
@paulaw Good it made you laugh Paula. I needed a laugh today, felt a bit down this morning, but livened up as the day went on.
February 14th, 2014
@ourrube Thanks for the fav Ruby. I'll take that as a fav for all of them then.
February 14th, 2014
@sunraye Thanks Raye. Good it made you smile. I needed a smile today. I don't think the bird in my topic album was smiling today though. http://365project.org/onewing/topics/2014-02-14 He looks how I felt this morning!!!
February 14th, 2014
Caves Beach is looking good Babs... I knew you were up to no good!!
February 14th, 2014
Just a imagine a 60 yr old taking photos of bums...i think i will be a bit scared. You go girl ! Lol
February 14th, 2014
Down with PC! This photo made me smile- that'll do!
February 14th, 2014
Too much political correctness around, this is fun and (almost) innocent...oh and I'm in the caves beach camp too!
February 14th, 2014
@bugsy I think Caves Beach is a winner Heather. These were taken at our local surf carnival.
February 14th, 2014
@leestevo Thanks Lee Ann. I think I got away with it because of my age. ha ha. nobody would suspect.
February 14th, 2014
@angelar Glad it made you smile Angela. I took a few more too, but these were the best of the lot. Don't usually get crowded beaches here unless there is a carnival going on, so there was lots of competition that day.
February 14th, 2014
@jackie8 Thanks Jackie. I guess Caves Beach wins hands down, or bums down whichever!!!
February 14th, 2014
Lovely bums you have captured here - they made me laugh. After all, if you put writing there, people are going to look! Great shot!
February 15th, 2014
Caves Beach for me. Budgie smugglers 4ever. What a fun shot Babs, hope you're feeling more upbeat now.
February 15th, 2014
Good grief tell them to put some proper shorts on :-). Good fun shot Babs
February 15th, 2014
who cares about PC its fun! fav for your 'bottoms'! I vote for Caves Beach too!
February 15th, 2014
So funny, Caves is a clear winner! You are a very brave woman Babs. This sight is something I see every weekend at the waterpolo.
February 15th, 2014
@888rachel Thanks Rachel. You are absolutely right, the name is what gave me the idea of taking the photo in the first place. Here they all were from each club competing in the races so I thought it might be good to find a personal winner. There were a lot to choose from.
February 15th, 2014
@golftragic Thanks Marnie. I think Caves Beach is definitely the winner. Yes I am feeling better now, just have bad days sometimes. Not a good year last year and it catches up with me every now and then.
February 15th, 2014
@cljs Ha ha. Don't think proper shorts would work here. They are Iron Men after all and the baggy shorts would slow them down in the water. Besides I wouldn't have got this picture would I!!!!
February 15th, 2014
@heidihp Thanks for the fav Heidi. Good it made you smile. I guess Caves Beach is a winner here. Don't know if he was a winner in the surf races though.
February 15th, 2014
@cathy366 Thanks Cathy. Caves Beach definitely wins I reckon. There were a lot of people around with cameras at the surf carnival so I wasn't too conspicuous, plus I did have quite a bit of zoom on some of the shots. Perhaps you could do a similar shot at the waterpolo and we can compare winners. Iron Men vs Waterpolo. How about that?
February 15th, 2014
Oooh, it's Caves Beach for me too!
I think it's bit late to worry about people getting the wrong impression about you Paul! @steampowered Perhaps on the next meetup in Hastings you can model your budgie smugglers for the 365 ladies!
Great shot Babs and it brought a smile to my face too.
February 16th, 2014
@suesmith Tee hee! I think that I am more likely to be modelling Thermal long johns!
February 16th, 2014
@steampowered or oilskins!
February 16th, 2014
@onewing Take care, I'm all too familiar with that feeling!
February 17th, 2014
@suesmith @steampowered Thanks, so good it made you smile. I needed cheering up too. Here is a photo opportunity Sue, next time you meet up with Paul insist on getting a shot of him in his long johns, that is if he isn't game enough to pose in budgie smugglers!!!
February 17th, 2014
@golftragic Thanks Marnie. I bounce back, just have bad days every now and then. Last year was a very tragic year and even though I am a positive person I still have moments.
February 17th, 2014
Yeah, me too. I was one of the unlucky recipients of Johnson & Johnson's bodgey hip prosthesis that gave me (and 44% of other recipients) cobalt poisoning which meant multiple operations and a whole bunch of other unpleasant stuff. Roll on the class action!
February 17th, 2014
@golftragic Oh dear. same thing happened to a friend of mine. Hope you are now on the mend. My pal isn't doing too badly now.
February 17th, 2014
@onewing Well on the mend now, thanks Babs, four ops later two tendons have finally stayed on, thank goodness. Brilliant surgeon to do that for me.
February 17th, 2014
Deb
@onewing MUM!!!!!!! Your daughter reads this stuff!!!!! Go Mum :)
February 19th, 2014
